Crate 33

Often I’d be in a record store and I’d forget what albums I should be looking for. So I kept a list in Notes, but found that hard to maintain. I also wanted a way of tracking what music I recently purchased, and what music by an artist I did NOT want to buy. So I built Crate 33 and have been using it successfully, tweaking it over time to make sure it works great.

Crate 33′s name comes from record collecting as well! Often record collectors store their records in crates. And most records spin at 33 rpm. So there you go.

The coolest part about Crate 33 is that you don’t need to manually type in the names of the albums or songs that you want. You can just do a search of the Discogs database within the app. When you find an album, you can hit + to add it to your list. This way, you can also view the album art and a picture of the artist.

Here are some screenshots of the the app.

I also have a website dedicated to the app, where you can see a video. See Crate33.com.
