I’m Henning, and this is my iPhone website. I live in Ottawa and work as an iPhone developer for Purple Forge. I got an iPhone as soon as it came to Canada, and it’s never far from me. I love developing iPhone software, and I now get all my income doing that.
I’m an experienced software developer and have been developing on the iPhone since the fall of 2008. Just ’cause the iPhone is so great! I have some Mac Cocoa development experience, but I’m focusing on the iPhone right now.
My first app was Chewy Xbox, but I don’t plan to release it to the store again. It was a learner app, and was free. It was targeted at Xbox Live users, but anyone could use it because you don’t need an Xbox Live account to do so.
I then released my Crate 33 app, a useful app with a terrible icon (a bad mistake in this business!). It’s an app for searching the Discogs music database and saving interesting albums and songs for later purchase.
I recently released iBorrow (IOU) onto the app store, and it’s been more successful for me than Crate 33, though it’s not a raging success by any metric.
I am still trying to figure out how to market iPhone apps as a small concern with no market clout. So far I’m finding it difficult.
